Abstract:In the modern world, the position of the father in the original meaning is in a sudden decline. However, according to human studies, fathers are one of the causes of human civilization and are also the need for any ethnic group to stand on their own in the world. The Eastern people’s insights on their fathers influenced the civilization process of modern Oriental and modern humans. Confucianism has major commonalities with the Eastern vision of the Romans, but due to the nourishment of the Chinese and Xia yang and filial piety, it also has in-depth differences with them. From a general perspective, Confucian fatherly abstractions are particularly difficult to suffer from modernity and have actually been severely destroyed. However, from a long perspective, this father’s performance will be more vital than the classic father of the East.

1. The decline of “father’s component” or “father’s nature” in modern times is an unconflictful fact

 

[①], it is the deep realization of “prosperity and decline” in the family and social levels that Chinese people often talk about now. The father’s position in the family and society in traditional Chinese has changed grandly and his position in the contemporary era. Even the span of decades is changing the father’s meaning for children and even for lawmakers. Some people call this “feudal fatherly power” without losing it, some people ignore it, thinking that this is just a secondary phenomenon of social transformation, but some people worry about it, thinking that the energy of their descendants is healthy and even humane to have threatened themselves in some way. Regardless, this is an impact on every person, every family, every societyand the phenomenon of each ethnic group, or perhaps the main phenomenon of the changes in the human basic preservation structure. However, it has not yet attracted the irresponsibility of the Chinese thinking world, especially the philosophical world. Moreover, it has a particular correlation with Confucianism and reality, and has not received profound reflections from most domestic and international neo-Confucian scholars. This article wants to raise this question, sort out its performance in the East and Confucian China, and explore its influence on the future of humanity, especially Confucianism.

 

1. The meaning and conditions of fatherhood

 

Why do people need fatherhood? Some people can think this is a strange problem. How can there be children without a father? But “having children” or “having a psychological rebirth” has no inherent connection with “having a father”. No animal produces and breeds cubs through two sexual intercourse, but there is no father, because the new generation may not know who is their father, or maybe they understand it, this psychological “father” means that the sperm provider does not participate in nurturing the new generation, so it is not the true father. But some birds seem to satisfy these two conditions, that is, their descendants know both who are their fathers and who are also nurturing with descendants. But human fathers also have a characteristic, that is, they affect offspring from energy, so descendants—including both the direct next generation, or can contain more future generations—eventually recognize their father’s position. In this way, the three conditions for being a father are: (1) marrying and engaging with the mother to give birth to offspring; (2) participating in nurturing to nurture offspring; (3) exerting energy to shape and maintaining offspring. But you must understand them all. From the current research and development orientation, we are increasingly paying attention to the conditions that are left behind. Therefore, the first condition is marriage and offering sperm. In human literature, it is no longer a need for becoming a father. A good father is complete and a real father, but this condition is not complete and unreasonable (the content will be discussed above). The “nurturing” in the second condition can have differences and levels, and the last condition, which is most important for researchers, must also make a change, that is, these energy effects are invisible and nameless.
